On this page you will find audition information for High School District HonorBand, Region Honor Band, and All-State Band.  Middle School information can be found under the middle school tab on the instrument page.

2023-24 Audition Dates: 

  • District Honor Band and the 1st round Region/All-State Band is Saturday, December 9 at Ware County High.

  • Region Band Auditions (if you score high enough) will be video auditions due in January. 

  • Final Round of All-State Auditions (if you score high enough) are Saturday, January 6 at Union Grove High School.

  • Major Scales performed by memory (exactly as they are written on the sheet).

  • Chromatic Scale (by memory)

  • Lyrical Etude (not memorized)

  • Technical Etude (only if you scored high enough to move to the 2nd round)

  • Sight Reading

Percussion Auditions 

  • Major Scales performed by memory (exactly as they are written on the sheet).

  • Chromatic scale (by memory using the full length of the instrument)

  • Mallet Etude

  • Mallet sight reading

  • Snare Rudiments
